The winner.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!....The secret Book....by Oriely del Pilar Flores....

This story took place in the ancient times, somewhere that can be wherever place, far away from the imagination of everyone. There lived a family, but not a simple family; there was a king who has one son, the little prince.
With the passing of the years, the little prince grew up and become a handsome but selfish boy, everything that he wanted he knew that his father will give him. But one day while he was in the forest, walking around, he saw a beautiful bird with bright colors, as he always get what he wants, he decided to catch it and have it in a cage, he though “ this bright bird will look nice in my room”. So when he was on the verge of catching it, the bird of colorful feathers flew away. The prince was upset and quickly threw a stone at the little bird as it flew away. The stone hit the little bird, and it fell from the sky to the ground. When the prince saw the bird on the ground, he felt no remorse and took it to his castle.

The little bird pleads for mercy, but there was nothing the beautiful bird could do to soften the prince’s heart. The Goddess of the forest who saw what had happened went to see the prince and talked to him in his dreams. One night, the Goddess decided to bewitch the castle if the prince did not return the bird into the forest, change his behavior and help people who are in need.
The prince didn’t care about this and didn’t do anything to change. One day his father got sick, the magician of the kingdom tell him that in a far place from where the sun comes, he will find a secret book with the solution to his father’s illness. The prince, regretful for his bad behavior, decided to walk to find that strange book. He walked through rivers, mountains, in the snow, in the cold and hot. In the middle of his way he found a lion trapped in some branches. The prince helped him to escape from it and the lion told him: “I will go with you to take care of you in gratitude”. So, they were together, no animal even tried to bother them because the lion, of all the animals, was the king. The lion knew the way perfectly and it was easier for the prince to find that mysterious place. When they were near, the lion told him some magic words that the prince had to use to fight with the custodian of the cave.
Once there, an enormous dragon was sleeping near the entrance, with a big mouth that could spit fire. The tearful and scared prince remembered his father and took courage to fight with the dragon; all that he wanted was to come back to his castle with the cure for his father’s sickness. The dragon woke up with anger in his eyes; the prince looked at and spoke the words that the lion had told him. The words charmed /bewitched the gigantic beast.
He went into the cave and saw a chest, he run toward it to retrieve the book inside, but he couldn’t. He needed the last and most important thing, a password that he needs to say. However, the lion and the magician did not tell him about this. All his efforts seemed to have been for nothing. The prince was very sad and started to cry. He was so sorry about his selfish behavior and he wished he could go back in the time and treat the innocent bird much better than he did. He wanted to see his father again in good health. He felt guilty for that.
The Goddess of the forest who was looking at him, understood his tears, and all that she wanted to hear was his apology from his heart. A bright light suddenly appeared from the chest and illuminated the whole cave; the darkness disappeared from that place and from his heart too. The Goddess told him: “You don’t need any magic cure for your father’s illness, because the real cure that he needs is already done”. The feeling he felt that day will be unforgettable to him.
On his way back, all the forest seemed to be celebrating this change, the animals greeted the new prince, and in the castle things were going better. The prince set free to the bird that became his new friend, and started to help people in his kingdom, care about animals and nature. And so, everything became much nicer than before.
